Santa Series

A Santa Series starts with three ATC's of this kindly bearded gentlemen. I printed the black and white photo image of Santa, which I obtained from The Graphics Fairy.

For Santa Series #1 I added blue to the sky and coat with Pastels. I also gave him rosy checks using Pastels.
Santa Series #2 was highlighted with a red nose, and checks.
And for Santa Series #3 I highlighted the sky around Santa with blue Pastel.

Thanks for visiting!

Grow

I took a huge step out of my box and joined a swap to make a page for a BOS or Book Of Shadows. A BOS is a personal book kept by a witch. A Grimoire is more of a "public" book, containing general beliefs, correspondences, and general earthy knowledge. I would consider this a Grimoire page swap as it is work done by other artists. This is the page that I made for the swap. It's a houseplant blessing!

How I made the background leaves: Stamped with Clear VersaMark, sprinkled heat & stick powder over it, and brushed pearl ex powder on after heating.
Back page: leaves are die cut, "Grow" is gold marker, brighter in real life

Base is a dark green card stock, lighter green card stock for leaves, white card stock for typed spell with designer paper card stock behind. Pearl ex is a shiny green/gold. All products are from Stampin' Up!, including the gold marker.

I hope everyone likes their page, I am very pleased with how it came out.
Have a Fantastic day!!!

Butterfly Butterfly

I have some butterfly ATC's to share with you tonight. I made these for the "Things With Wings" swap at ATC's for All.

The first is titled 'Chill', using Stampin' Up card stock, Emboslits 'Beautiful Wings', a Moonlight Journey college sheet and magazine clips.

Next is 'Watercolor Blue' and again I used SU card stock, ink, stamps and gold embossing powder.

On the third I used tags from  7gypsies, stamps from Craft's Meow, and ink from SU. I'm calling it 'Orange Kisses'.

Last but not least is 'Sparkle'. I used SU card stock, designer paper, Emboslits 'Beautiful Wings', and a Sakura Gelly Roll Stardust Clear pen. The Sakura pen was used to add highlight as seen in the close up photo. The velum, sparkling butterfly is from my stash of RAKs.

Halloween News

I can hardly wait until this starts! Well I can wait until September, which will be back to school, (work), and my baby will be off at college. No rush there, but what an event this will be. I'll been following along with Laura's blog, Artfully Musing, and  Alpha Stamps via Bloglovin and e-mail, they give things away all of the time. Though I haven't won yet, I figure I'll go and purchase the products to complete one of the many cool projects on the blog. The Alpha Stamps online store has everything you need!

Stars & Stripes Swap

I'm back with pics of  ATC's for a '"Stars & Stripes" swap at ATC's For All.

The first has a hand drawn background using Sharpie Markers. The large and small stars are punched and layered white on white. The stripe is an image from MoonlightJourney Artistic Collage Sheets.

Red, white and blue card stock from Stampin' Up! is used here as a flag. The stars are punched and the date is from a clear sticker set.

The next card is backed by white card stock and layered with a flag image, and a decorated drum. These images are also from a Moonlight Journey image pack. A number 4 flag and July are from JBS Mercantile.

Lastly I created a flag image with a random tag from my stash. I layered it with "Remember" "July" "4", which are from the same Moonlight Journey image pack.

Thanks For Stopping!

School Silhouette

I have a few ATC's to share today, from a silhouettes collection.

This first one is titled "Thinking" and is made using:
Gesso lightly brushed over So Saffron card stock (Stampin'Up!)
Designer paper (Jenni Bowlin Studio)
Silhouette stamp (Jenni Bowlin Studio)
Basic Black ink pad (Stampin'Up!)
Number stickers (my stash)
The next little girl is titled "Posing"
Designer paper (JBS)
Silhouette stamp (JBS)
Flower stamp (SU!)
Basic Black ink (SU!)
This little guy is called "I Can"
Designer paper (JBS) over
Wild Wasabi card stock (SU!)
Silhouette stamp (JBS)
Basic Black ink (SU!)

Lastly is "September" using:
Designer Paper (JBS) over
Rose Red card stock (SU!)
Silhouette stamp (JBS)
Basic Black ink (SU!)

When I came upon this swap at ATC's For All I thought of my silhouette art from the 4th grade. In fact, every time I hear of a silhouette I think of the 4th grade project. Pairing silhouettes with a school days theme was the obvious way to go.

Hope you enjoy them and have time to leave a comment.
Hugs,
Lori

Prom 2013

Here are a few pictures from Prom 2013:
Our daughter, M and her boyfriend K. She is a senior this year and he graduated last year. Below is a picture from prom 2012.
This shot shows M & K next to the giant limo that the girls rented. There are seven girls, the Sassy 7.
The SASSY 7.....Best Friends, some since elementary,  all through middle school, and all through high school. Yes, they are gorgeous and yes, they are all Honor students too.
Mother/daughter time. I'm shorter, but she is in, like, 5" heels, or something.

M and G... more alike than J and G. {J is M's best friend~G is J's real sister}
The lifetime best friends...M and J.

Thanks for taking time to stop by and hope you can leave a comment. Hugs~
